BarkerGilmore has been engaged by a rapidly growing investment bank, located in Midtown Manhattan, to identify a junior level tax counsel to work on Federal Tax Planning and support M&A deals.  Ideally, we are looking for a lawyer with one to three years of experience with Federal Tax planning.  Experience with investment banking clients is a perfect match, but not necessary.

·        Our client is experiencing dynamic growth and has more than doubled its New York operation in the past 18 months.

 

·        Work for one of the banking leaders in North America.

 

·        Work in an open, collegial environment under the guidance of an extremely talented, highly credentialed tax counsel who is very easy to work with.

 

·        Have direct client contact with key business leaders in the organization as well as the CFO.

 

·        Have a work life balance that allows time to enjoy activities outside of the office.  Typical hours are Monday thru Friday, 9am to 6:30pm.

 

·        Earn a competitive compensation which is at par with large law firms when factoring in cash bonus.

 

One to three years of tax experience is required from either a large law firm, large financial institution, or Big Four accounting firm.  JD is required, LLM is a plus.
